About Me: Lolis Rocha

RN, BSN, MHA, CDCES

Hi, I am Lolis Rocha.    I am a registered nurse, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, and the founder of La Enfermera Dulce.

We created La Enfermera Dulce for one simple mission: to provide quality diabetes self-management education to people living with diabetes and to those who care for them.

I sincerely hope that what we share in our videos, books, and on our website can help you or someone you love live a full and happy life with diabetes.

My journey into diabetes care is deeply personal, inspired by my mother’s 35 year battle with the condition and the loss of many loved ones to diabetes complications. For over 20 years, I have been dedicated to empowering individuals with diabetes through education, technology, and compassionate care.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES), and Program Manager with a Master’s in Health Administration (MHA), I’ve had the privilege of leading a CDCES team in developing and providing innovative care strategies tailored to the needs of patients with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

As a native of Mexico, I’m keenly aware of the disproportionate impact of diabetes in the Hispanic community. It has always been a specific focus of mine to find ways to deliver care and education in not just native languages, but even more importantly, culturally empowering ways. I’m proud of the progress we have made developing resources for underserved communities, but we have a long way to go.

Studies have shown the tremendous positive impact of diabetes education on quality of life for those living with diabetes. Despite this, the overwhelming majority of people with diabetes are never provided quality diabetes education. We have created these resources as a way to make diabetes education more widely accessible.

You will learn about the Cycle of Health: Our Guide to Living Fully with Diabetes. It is a simple system for learning about diabetes self-management.

My hope is that with the information I am sharing with you, you and those you care about will live a full and happy life with diabetes.
Thank you for joining me………..This is the beginning of our journey together.
